The VocTech Program on Quality Improvement and Strengthening of a Demand-driven Agro-Forestry Vocational and Technical Education and Training System works with nine agro-forestry vocational schools under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in Vietnam.
By focussing on the integration of the schools with their local surroundings and working on an improved employability of the school graduates, the long term objective is to provide the graduates "The ability to find, make and sustain a living". In this way the VocTech-Program will contribute to livelihood improvement in rural and mountain areas through a more effective use of natural resources and the promotion of more intensive and diversified production systems and (on- & off-) farm-activities.
